THE BLACK SKY EVENT makes clear various ways an enemy of the US could attack our energy grid infrastructure. Such an attack could be a Pearl Harbor sneak attack or the next step in ongoing escalations.
Looking at the ongoing geopolitical situation between China and the World, the trigger to WWIII could be Taiwan. This island nation off the coast of China could be where open conflict breaks out between east and west. Taiwan was a refuge to and is the current home of the last vestiges of Chinese democracy from the pre-communist era. They have a thriving economy as well as a thriving democracy.
The Taiwanese defense forces, with many weapon systems provided by the US, frequently have drills in which the scenario is to defeat an invasion of the island. These military exercises themselves could be the trigger to WWIII. Maybe Taiwan will have to defend itself for weeks before any outside help comes, most likely solely from the US.
If this fight turns into a World War the chance of cyber attack and /or and EMP attack on the US is a real danger. The EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) attack, which is created by a nuclear weapon detonation at high altitude, is viewed by China as a type of cyber attack as it knocks out all electronics. The US on the other hand, would most likely view it as a nuclear attack and respond in kind. That is if they are still able to once the electric grid goes down and all electronics are fried.

Interview Spotlight
One of the nation’s most aggressive advocates to secure our grid, we interviewed Dr. Pry a couple of times for the documentary as new events unfolded.
Dr. Peter Pry shows The Black Sky Event director David Womick a telegraph similar to the ones that were damaged in 1859 by effects from the CME from the sun know as the Carrington Event.
Dr. Pry is currently the Executive Director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, a Congressional Advisory Board dedicated to achieving protection of the United States from electromagnetic pulse (EMP), cyber attack, mass destruction terrorism and other threats to civilian critical infrastructures on an accelerated basis.
He served on the staff of the Congressional Commission on the Strategic Posture of the United States (2008-2009) and the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack (2001-2008).
Dr. Pry served as Professional Staff and a Chief Advisor on the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) of the U.S. Congress, with portfolios in nuclear strategy, WMD, Russia, China, NATO, the Middle East, Intelligence, and Terrorism.
He was an intelligence officer in the CIA and has written several books on his areas of expertise including “Apocalypse Unknown: The Struggle To Protect America From An Electromagnetic Pulse Catastrophe”, his latest book “Blackout Wars: State Initiatives To Achieve Preparedness Against An Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Catastrophe” and “War Scare: Russia and America on the Nuclear Brink” which was made into a film by the BBC.

In the documentary film The Black Sky Event, China is shown to be one of, and perhaps the main, antagonist of the US when it comes to geopolitics. If the situation were to get out of hand the Chinese or their proxy nations may try to take down the US energy grid as a non-symmetrical offense. THE BLACK SKY EVENT shows a variety of ways the Chinese or any of several other players could try this to cause a nationwide blackout. Space Force
The inaugural Space Capstone Publication, Spacepower (SCP), is the first United States Space Force (USSF) articulation of doctrine for its independent theory of spacepower. The publication explains “why spacepower is vital for our Nation, how military spacepower is employed, who military space forces are, and what military space forces value.” It is intended to be the foundation upon which to build the professional body of knowledge for forging an independent military service committed to space operations.”
Henry Cooper was in charge of The Strategic Defense Initiative during the Regan administration. In his interview for The Black Sky Event documentary, he shared his deep knowledge of missile defense and the threats from a H.E.M.P. (High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse).
